AFRICAN AMERICANS/JOE BIDEN: “You know, when I was asked a question about, you know, why should someone vote for you or they were talking about Trump, and I said, he said, ‘Well, we like Trump.’ I said, Well, and I shouldn’t have said it. And I said, ‘Well, OK. Who are you? How could you vote– how can a Black man vote for him?’ I shouldn’t have said that.

But what I was trying to make the point that this is a man [Donald Trump] who spent his entire career denigrating African Americans. Denigrating them, continuing to denigrate them. To do nothing but go after race and inflame it. Pour, you know, gasoline on the fire. I shouldn’t have said it, but the truth is, there’s a fundamental difference between Donald Trump and me on the issue of race across the board.”
