CONGRESS/DEMS/GOP/ROBERT MUELLER/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT: “Robert Mueller’s top deputy will appear alongside him as his counsel for his highly anticipated testimony on Wednesday [7-24-19], according to a committee source familiar with the preparations, a last-minute move that Republicans are panning as a breach of House rules that could jeopardize the hearings altogether. Republicans said Democrats’ decision to allow Aaron Zebley to accompany Mueller — at the former special counsel’s request — represents a breach of their tentative negotiations. Georgia Rep. Doug Collins, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, called the move a ‘stunt’ and said it could ‘jeopardize whether tomorrow’s hearing complies with the rules of the House’…Mueller spokesman Jim Popkin on Tuesday [7-23-19] confirmed Zebley’s appearance for Mueller’s five hours of combined testimony before the House Judiciary and Intelligence committees scheduled for Wednesday.”
