DEMS/HOUSE OF REPS/RUSSIA INVESTIGATION/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT: “President Donald Trump tore into his Democratic House investigators on Thursday [3-28-19] night, perpetuating a verbal assault he launched after Robert Mueller’s Russia probe concluded without finding a criminal conspiracy between Trump’s campaign and Russia. Speaking at a rally in Grand Rapids, Mich. — Trump’s first since the special counsel submitted his report — the president railed against the Democratic House committee chairs who continue to probe Trump’s connections to Russia, his business dealings and his inaugural committee. As he has in recent days, Trump directed most of his ire at House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff…According to Attorney General Bill Barr’s summary of Mueller’s report — which remains secret — the special counsel did not establish any conspirancy between the Trump campaign and Russian officials to sway the election. But Barr also noted that Mueller did not exonerate Trump in an obstruction of justice probe, choosing instead to not make a final judgment. Barr then said he would not charge Trump with obstruction of justice. Trump and his allies have portrayed the outcome as a complete vindication for the president, proclaiming the entire ordeal was a two-year ‘witch hunt.’ And Trump has tried to turned the tables on Democrats.”
