G20/RUSSIA/SUMMIT/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT: “President Donald Trump on Tuesday [11-27-18] floated the idea of canceling a scheduled meeting with President Vladimir Putin after Russia attacked and seized three Ukranian naval vessels. The president, during an interview with The Washington Post, said he was still waiting to receive a ‘full report’ from his national security team on the Sunday episode off the coast of Crimea, which Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014. Trump said his decision to meet with Putin at the G-20 summit this week in Argentina would be ‘very determinative’ on the report he receives from his team…Trump met with Putin in June in Finland, and the White House was in talks about having another summit between the two leaders but postponed it until next year. The president will meet with a number of world leaders at the G20, including President Mauricio Macri of Argentina, President Moon Jae-in of South Korea, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan and China’s leader, Xi Jinping.”
