TRUMP ADMINISTRATION LOOSENS RULES FOR HRAs — The administration wants to allow employers to utilize health reimbursement arrangements to help their workers purchase coverage on or off the Obamacare markets, touting it as a way to help small and mid-sized companies offer coverage, POLITICO’s Paul Demko reports. — Who they’re targeting: The Treasury Department estimates that 10 million employees would eventually get coverage through HRAs. Of those, it believes 1 million are individuals who are currently uninsured. ‘This proposal should dramatically increase choices for workers,’ said a senior administration official on a call with reporters yesterday to discuss the proposal, which is expected to be released today.”
