NATIONAL SECURITY/NUCLEAR/RUSSIA/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT: “BOLTON IN RUSSIA AFTER TRUMP ANNOUNCES INF WITHDRAWAL: White House national security adviser John Bolton is in Moscow this week after President Donald Trump’s declaration the U.S. plans to withdraw from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty. The treaty, signed in 1987 by President Ronald Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, eliminated U.S. and Soviet missiles with ranges of 500 to 5,500 kilometers. But the U.S. has accused Russia for years of violating the accord by deploying banned weapons, including the reported deployment of the SSC-8 last year.”
