ELECTIONS/GOP/RACISM/TRUMP PEOPLE: “Atlantic County Republican Chairman Keith Davis said Tuesday [7-10-18] he won’t withdraw his support for congressional candidate Seth Grossman, despite Grossman’s sharing of a racist article from a white nationalist website on social media…Media Matters for America, a liberal watchdog group, revealed Monday [7-9-18] that Grossman, the GOP candidate in New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District, had shared online an article from the white nationalist website American Renaissance that claimed blacks are a ‘threat to all who cross their paths.’ Grossman praised the article as ‘what so many people, black, white and Hispanic, whisper to me privately but never dare say out loud publicly.’ The National Republican Congressional Committee quickly rescinded its endorsement of Grossman and urged him to drop out of the race. Grossman is facing Democratic state Sen. Jeff Van Drew in the race to succeed retiring Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-N.J.). The South Jersey district includes Atlantic County. The online article was just the latest racial flap for Grossman, who was caught on video by a Democratic super PAC calling diversity ‘crap’ and ‘un-American.’ New Jersey Republican State Chairman Doug Steinhardt condemned Grossman’s remarks.”
