NATIONAL SECURITY/TRUMP FAMILY/JARED KUSHNER: “The White House downgraded the security clearance of senior adviser Jared Kushner last week as part of White House chief of staff John Kelly’s push to tighten control of classified information inside the Trump administration, said an administration official with knowledge of the situation.
Mr. Kushner, who is also President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and the husband of White House adviser Ivanka Trump, has played a central role in crafting White House policy regarding China, Mexico and Canada. He has also, until now, had access to the President’s Daily Brief, a top-secret intelligence report… Mr. Kushner was among several officials who had their interim clearances downgraded from Top Secret/SCI-level to Secret, the official said. The officials received the memos informing them of the change on Friday [2-23-18], the official said.”
