RUSSIA/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT: “President Donald Trump’s top advisers are taking steps to stabilize day-to-day operations at the White House, but the administration is struggling to recruit new talent amid expanding investigations, according to senior administration officials.
The White House also continues to be riven by division between senior aides, the officials say, all looking to satisfy a boss frustrated by the slow pace of legislation and investigations into whether his campaign colluded with Russia, which has been accused of interfering with the 2016 election. The Kremlin has denied the allegations.
Chief of staff Reince Priebus may be among those at risk if Congress is unable to pass a health overhaul by the August recess, according to several senior aides.”
