FBI agents met with Eric and Donald Trump Jr. May 8 to discuss a botched hack on the Trump Organization, which the two sons run while President Trump still retains control of it.
One day later, Trump unexpectedly fired Comey as FBI director, setting off a month of chaos that will culminate in Comey’s Senate testimony later this week.
It remains unclear what exactly the Trump sons discussed May 8 and whether Comey played any part in that conversation.
But the sons insisted this had no impact on the axing that came the next day.”
