HEALTHCARE/OBAMACARE(ACA)/POLITICS/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT: “President Trump is facing backlash over a comment he made during an Oval Office press conference on Friday following the collapse of the House health care bill that was intended to repeal Obamacare.
At one point he told reporters, ‘I guess I’m here, what, 64 days? I never said *repeal and replace Obamacare,* you’ve all heard my speeches. I never said, *repeal it and replace it within 64 days.* I have a long time.’
However, Jonathan Lemire with the Associated Press tweeted part of the president’s quote along with the comment, ‘He repeatedly said he would do it *day one* of his term.’
Meanwhile, ThinkProgress posted a list of 68 times Trump promised to repeal Obamacare including at least four instances where he mentioned doing it immediately.”
