Following revelations of Trump’s relationship with Russia, veteran news anchor Dan Rather says, this could be even bigger than Watergate.
Taking to his Facebook, the former host of CBS Evening News writes that on a 1-10 scale of an affront to our Constitution, Watergate was a 9, and right now Trump’s Russia scandal is at a 5 or 6.
He writes the scandal ‘may become the measure by which all future scandals are judged.’ Rather posted the message after Michael Flynn’s resignation as the White House’s National Security Adviser caused by an ‘erosion of trust’ with the president by taking a secret call with a Russian diplomat.
Just as Rather predicted, the scandal is now ‘cascading in intensity seemingly by the hour.’ “
