TRUMP POST-PRESIDENCY: “President Trump faces a host of legal issues after he leaves the White House, including a criminal investigation in Manhattan, a New York state attorney general civil probe into alleged fraud and multiple lawsuits.

After he leaves office in January, Mr. Trump will no longer have the legal protections of the presidency, including the teams of government lawyers who have defended him over nearly four years. He would also lose protection from the Justice Department policy prohibiting federal criminal prosecutions of sitting presidents…

Mr. Trump has repeatedly denied wrongdoing, saying investigations into his conduct in office and his business dealings are motivated by politics.”
