DEMS/ELECTION/HILLARY CLINTON/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT: “President Donald Trump on Tuesday [3-5-19] mocked Hillary Clinton’s decision not to run for president in 2020, saying his former opponent would be ‘sorely missed’…Another potential run by Clinton, a former first lady, senator and secretary of State, loomed over the growing 2020 Democratic field. So far, more than a dozen people have announced their candidacy or the formation of an exploratory committee to run for president as a Democrat. On the Republican side, former Gov. Bill Weld of Massachusetts has announced an exploratory committee to run against Trump. Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Maryland’s current governor, Larry Hogan, are both weighing bids. Trump has often criticized Clinton for an investigation surrounding her private email server while she was secretary of State. The president has also bashed her for speaking about losing the 2016 election. Clinton received nearly 3 million votes more than Trump nationwide but lost to him in the Electoral College.”
