CHRIS CHRISTIE/JARED KUSHNER/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT: “President Trump regularly expresses pique over scathing kiss-and-tell books written by former aides and advisers. But he had no beef with ‘Let Me Finish’ by Chris Christie, the former New Jersey governor and his onetime transition director…But not nice to his family, it was pointed out, most notably Jared Kushner, his son-in-law and senior adviser, who was eviscerated in the book. ‘No,’ Mr. Trump conceded, ‘but he was unbelievably nice to me, actually.’ An 85-minute interview with the president offers plenty of clues for Trumpologists seeking to understand him and the ways of his byzantine court — who is up and who is down, what he cares about and what he does not, what he knows and what he does not. Intentionally or by happenstance, Mr. Trump sends signals that are then scrutinized, analyzed and even satirized.”
