LAWSUIT/NEW YORK/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT/TRUMP BUSINESS: “President Donald Trump complained Wednesday [12-19-18] about a ‘double standard of ‘justice’’ being applied to him by New York Democrats after his personal charity was shut down this week thanks to a lawsuit initially brought by former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. In a series of tweets, Trump claimed he is the subject of unfair treatment by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and by Schneiderman, who resigned earlier this year after being accused of sexual misconduct. Trump said the lawsuit, initiated by Schneiderman before his resignation, was created just as Trump was trying to shut down the foundation ‘so as not to be in conflict with politics’…The president’s complaints come one day after New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood announced that the Trump Foundation had agreed to shut down and disperse its remaining funds to not-for-profit groups. New York state’s lawsuit against the president and three of his adult children over the foundation will continue, even though the foundation will cease operations.”
