ELECTION/HOUSE OF REPS/JOE BIDEN/ROBERT MUELLER/RUSSIA INVESTIGATION/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT: “Former Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday [10-18-18] said he hopes Democrats don’t try to impeach President Donald Trump if they retake the House of Representatives following next month’s midterm elections…The former vice president said Democrats should wait until special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe is concluded before taking any steps against the president. Mueller is currently investigating whether Trump’s presidential campaign colluded with the Russian government, and is investigating other related allegations of obstruction of justice against the president…Asked whether he thinks a report from the investigation should come out before the midterms, Biden said he thinks it should be issued when the probe is finished. Justice Department regulations prohibit investigators from politically sensitive releases or steps in the weeks leading up to elections, an effort to avoid the impression of partisanship.”
