IRAN/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT/TWITTER: “President Trump said he would be willing to meet with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani without conditions…The U.S. and Iranian leaders swapped taunts last week, escalating security concerns between the two nations when Mr. Rouhani warned the Trump administration against continuing hard-line policies against Iran…Mr. Trump responded with his own threat, posting on a message on Twitter addressed ‘To Iranian President Rouhani.’ Mr. Trump wrote: ‘NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE.’ Iranian officials said after Mr. Trump’s tweet that they would retaliate against any U.S. military action.
