BRITAIN/PROTESTS/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT: “A 6 meter-tall inflatable of U.S President Donald Trump as an angry baby will be flown above London during the president’s official trip to the United Kingdom. The Greater London Authority on Thursday [7-5-18] approved a request to allow the orange inflatable to fly near parliament during Trump’s visit on July 13, after a petition called ‘Let Trump Baby Fly’ garnered over 10,000 signatures, according to Sky News. The inflatable — which portrays Trump as an angry baby with a diaper, combover and smartphone — was initially denied permission to fly, but Leo Murray, the leader of the group behind the stunt, said the amount of public support they received appears to have made the city ‘rediscover its sense of humor.’ A spokesperson for London Mayor Sadiq Khan said the city had granted permission for the inflatable to be grounded in Parliament Square Garden (it must be tethered at all times) but it can only be flown for two hours and cannot go higher than 30 meters off the ground.”
