LEGAL/MICHAEL COHEN/ROBERT MUELLER/RUDY GIULIANI/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT: “Rudy Giuliani insisted Wednesday [6-13-18] evening that Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer, would not flip on his ex-boss by cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe. ‘I checked into this last night. It’s not so,’ Giuliani told Laura Ingraham of Fox News. The former New York mayor is one of the president’s chief attorneys fending off the special counsel’s investigation into potential collusion between Russian actors and Trump’s campaign in the 2016 election…Giuliani’s remarks followed reports Wednesday that Cohen is planning to replace his current legal team — an indication he may soon aid federal prosecutors. They also differ from an assessment Giuliani made in May when asked whether he was concerned Cohen would eventually turn against the president…Cohen is facing protracted legal battles of his own after FBI agents raided his home and office in April. He is staring down possible fraud charges in New York surrounding his various business dealings, and his role in a $130,000 ‘hush money’ payment to porn star Stormy Daniels is also under scrutiny.”
