NORTH KOREA/SOUTH KOREA/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT: “President Donald Trump said his administration would likely announce ‘in the next couple of days’ a location and date for a summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Mr. Trump made the remark in response to a question from a reporter in the Oval Office. A day earlier he had said he was considering Singapore, as well as the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea, as options. The president also said the suggestion from South Korea’s Moon Jae-in that he merited the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts was ‘very nice’ but that ‘the main thing is to get it done’ and that his goal was peace.”
