JAMES MATTIS/SYRIA/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT/TRUMP PEOPLE: “Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, on Thursday [4-12-18] said the U.S. has enough proof to act in response to an alleged chemical attack in Syria, and President Donald Trump is looking at all his options…The Syrian government allegedly used chemical weapons on civilians in a suburb of Damascus last weekend. Trump has since said that he plans to launch a missile strike against Syria, but he has not given a timeline for the intended strike…Defense Secretary James Mattis on Thursday, however, said while testifying before the House Armed Services Committee that the United States is still looking for evidence of a chemical attack and is seeking to get inspectors on the ground to investigate whether an attack happened.”
