JAMES COMEY/ROBERT MUELLER/TRUMP AS PRESIDENT: “James Comey’s memoir hits bookstores Tuesday [4-17-18], with the former FBI director planning a series of media appearances that will put him back in the public eye as a government watchdog is set to release a report examining his conduct in office. The media appearances, starting with an interview on ABC Sunday night, come amid a charged atmosphere around special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia’s electoral interference, which started with the Federal Bureau of Investigation under Mr. Comey, and President Donald Trump’s frequent criticism of senior officials in the Justice Department and the agency. Mr. Comey’s book, ‘A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership,’ is being closely held before publication. Though Mr. Comey in the past has shown a flair for the dramatic, it isn’t clear how many new nuggets he will include after having testified at length last year about his strained dealings with Mr. Trump.”
