Rep. Jerrold Nadler of New York will take over as the committee’s top Democrat.
Mr. Conyers acknowledged last week that he settled a wrongful-dismissal claim in 2015 involving a former female employee, but he denied allegations of sexual harassment. He again denied the allegations on Sunday.
Mr. Conyers said he settled the complaint to avoid litigation. He added he would cooperate with any further investigation in the House…
Mr. Conyers, 88 years old, joined Congress in 1965, making him the longest-serving current House member.”
