2016 ELECTION/LEGAL/ROBERT MUELLER/RUSSIA: “Special counsel Robert Mueller unveiled the first charges Monday [10-30-17] connected to his probe into Moscow’s influence in the 2016 election, accusing two Trump campaign officials of not paying taxes on millions earned working for Ukrainian politicians and obtaining a guilty plea from a third who admitted lying about his contacts with Russians.
The actions represent the most public moves to date from Mr. Mueller, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation director appointed in May to take over an investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 campaign and any potential collusion with the Trump campaign. Taken together, the indictments and plea show Mr. Mueller is entering a higher-profile phase of his investigation and that more action may be coming.”
