CELEBS/ENTERTAINMENT/HEALTHCAREPRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS: “Jimmy Kimmel targeted President Trump in his latest monologue about health care, which he delivered on his late night show Thursday [9-21-17]…

While the Graham-Cassidy bill would keep the requirement that insurance companies offer coverage to people with pre-existing conditions, states would be able to apply for waivers that would allow them to charge more. States could also apply for waivers for certain coverage currently mandated under Obamacare — like hospitalization and maternity care — and could weaken protections on imposing caps.On Tuesday, Kimmel tore into Cassidy for the bill he feels contradicts what Cassidy vowed to do during his appearance on Kimmel Live, and declared that Cassidy ‘lied right to (his) face.’ Wednesday, Kimmel knocked Cassidy after the senator claimed on CNN’s New Day that Kimmel ‘does not understand’ the bill.
On the program, Cassidy argued that the bill would keep in place the protections he discussed with Kimmel…

He estimated, ‘There will be billions more dollars to provide health insurance coverage for those in those states who have been passed by Obamacare.’
It is difficult to know just how many people will gain or lose coverage and what premiums will cost because the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office has not released a comprehensive analysis of the bill.”
