SEAN SPICER: “Sean Spicer, who resigned as White House press secretary on July 21, is not formally leaving the White House until the end of August. But, with television networks allegedly clamoring for his services, he is now being represented by high-powered attorney Bob Barnett, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Barnett is a partner at the law firm Williams & Connolly, and has a lengthy client list that includes bold-faced names from the world of media and politics.
The news was first covered by the New York Post, which reported that Spicer met “with all the major TV and news networks, including NBC, CBS and Fox News last week.” He was photographed in the vicinity of CBS News headquarters.
Spicer became a household name in only a few months as press secretary, his sometimes-combative style lambasted by Saturday Night Live.
And while Spicer’s contentiousness with the White House press corps stood out from his predecessors, departing White House press secretaries are generally sought after by the big TV networks. Josh Earnest, who served as Barack Obama’s last press secretary, joined NBC News and MSNBC as a contributor in March.”
