Trump said in an interview with the New York Post that he’s largely avoided the city during his time in the White House because of the disruption a presidential visit can cause, citing his annoyance when President Barack Obama would come to town…’I love New York, I miss New York,’ Trump said, though New York seems not to love him — the city voted overwhelmingly against Trump in 2016, and protests there against the president and his policies are now part of the norm. Trump, a homebody who would often return to Manhattan between campaign stops to sleep in his own bed in Trump Tower, has returned to the city only a handful of times, mostly for United Nations general assemblies, opting instead to spend more time at his golf club in Bedminster, N.J.”
