TRUMP PEOPLE: “Omarosa Manigault Newman, former White House director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison who left the administration in December, is a part of the cast for the latest season of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ — marking what is likely the fastest move from the White House to reality television.
CBS announced the cast lineup Sunday evening during the Grammy’s. The new season of the show premieres on Feb. 7.
Manigault Newman departed the White House last December though it was not effective until Jan. 20, the anniversary of Trump’s inauguration.
It was unclear why the former ‘Apprentice’ star turned Trump aide left her position, though her departure was controversial at the time. It was reported that Manigault Newman was ‘escorted out’ of the West Wing after feuding with and being ‘fired’ by chief of staff John Kelly.
Following her departure in December, Manigault Newman said in an interview with ABC’s ‘Nightline’ that she felt lonely as ‘the only African-American woman in this White House.’ “
